Position 2001. Software Development Manager (Closed)

The Software Development Manager provides leadership and direction for the software team in developing quality software for the customer. The Software Development Manager is responsible for managing the design, implementation, testing, and documentation of software for multiple product projects. RESPONSIBILITIES include:

  • Manage activities and timelines of the software development group in designing and developing software for products in line with business priorities.
  • Manages multiple software development projects, ensuring that appropriate procedures, processes, tools and staffing levels are in place for all software development, test and release activities.
  • Represent the software development department at all project development meetings, including design reviews, phase reviews and risk managements reviews.
  • Participates in design control activities related to the software development process.
  • Monitors and evaluates completion of tasks and projects.
  • Analyze software requirements, create and implement design plans.
  • Review unit tests to ensure acceptable test coverage.
  • Create design and specification documentation.
  • Manage and participate in software functional testing.
  • Monitor status of anomalies and contribute to their resolution.
  • Manage and participate in other areas of the software development process.
  • Provide technical software support when required to employees and customers.
  • Other duties as required by business needs.
